What exactly is Pilates?

Pilates is an accessible way to build up strength in your core muscles for flexibility, better posture and balance.
Pilates consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements.

Pilates works to provide proper postural alignment, muscle balance and core strength.

What are the benefits of Pilates?

By regular Pilates practice, you achieve a number of health benefits, such as:

1)Improved stability and core strength

2)Improved balance and posture

3)Improved flexibility

4)Prevention of back pain

Can beginners do Pilates?

It’s a misconception that Pilates is only for professional dancers and serious athletes. They aren’t the only ones who can benefit from this approach of strength training.

Maybe you’ve seen the Pilates apparatus, called a Reformer that looks like a bed frame with a sliding carriage and adjustable springs. Don’t let the machine intimidate you.

The truth is that many Pilates exercises can be done on the floor with only a mat!

Is Pilates for everyone?

Pilates can be adapted as a supplement to a gentle strength training and stability program. If you’re just starting out, it’s better to go slow at first and then gradually increase the intensity of your workout.
