The practice of yoga begins from the moment you enter Platinum Yoga.
To create the best experience for yourself and others, please follow these guidelines:
1. Arriving at the Studio
Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your class to allow yourself ample time to sign-in and prepare for class. All classes start on time.
Once the class has started, you will not be allowed to enter the class. This is to ensure that the class is not interrupted as a mark of respect to both teachers and students as well as for safety purposes.
2. In the Studio
Remain Silent & Peace – The yoga studio is a silent room. Please refrain from talking loudly while in the studio corridors.
No eating – Do not eat in the studio.
No shoes – Please place your shoes in the shoe racks at the studio door or you can put your shoes in your lockers as well.
No mobile phones – Please switch your mobile phones off or to vibrate mode. Do refrain from taking your phone into the practice rooms.
3. Class Booking
Class bookings can be made 3 days in advance. It is important that you book your class in advance since some classes are more heavily attended than others. We also limit our class sizes so that they are not overcrowded. If a class you wish to take is full, we will place you on the wait list and notify you of an opening as soon as possible.
Please give us 2 hours’ advance notice if you cannot attend your pre-booked class so that we can release your booking to wait-listed students. 2 or more cumulative late cancellations and/no-shows over a 30-day period results in your booking privileges revoked for 2 weeks for first-time offenders; thereafter, advance booking will not be allowed for 1 month and your class attendance will be restricted to in-person standby and only up to 30 minutes before the class.
5. Wait list
You can only be on ONE wait-list within the same time slot – no overlap wait-list bookings allowed
6. Sign-In (IPAD Check In – For Members Only)
You must check in at the front desk before entering the studio for class even if you have reserved a space in advance. Please tap ‘CHECK IN’ on the IPAD at the reception counter . Students not signed in will not be able to take a class. On your first visit you will be required to fill out a new student registration form. Please be sure to sign a waiver and indicate any physical injuries or special health conditions you may have (applicable for both members & guests). Non-members will have to book through your assigned Yoga Advisor.
7. Personal Belongings
Platinum Yoga accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of locker contents. Lockers are not for overnight use unless permission is granted by the management. Items found in our lockers left overnight will be disposed of or put in Lost-and-Found for 1 week. Aftermath, the ownership of the items will cease and it will be disposed of.
8. Preparation Before Class
We will provide everything you will need for your practice: mats, props, and other equipment. Yoga is best enjoyed on an empty or light stomach, depending on your health condition and types of classes, so eat lightly 2-3 hours before your class. Make sure to keep hydrated both before and after your class. Tell your teacher about any injuries. This will help the teacher know how to adjust your posture or show you a modified pose if necessary.
